Sleeping and dreaming together is an ancient practice. In the sleep temples of antiquity, sick people sought healing in their dream images. And even today, lying in a shared space and in contact with one's own body and surroundings can be a borderline experience that allows us to experience new forms of perception, invention and encounter.
The event takes place in exchange with the exhibition and reading program Wor(l)ding Dreamers of the Galerie im Turm and consists of three parts.
The hour long listening sesssion braids a collection of drone and harmonic soundscapes from field recordings, acoustic instruments, and the Lyra-8 synthesizer. The audience, as the body of listeners is invited to actively listen to the work in a live quadraphonic setup. This focuses on the spatial arrangement and movement of sound, creating a sense of being enveloped in the environment.
